1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using StudyPilot (“the Service”), operated at studypilotapp.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

StudyPilot is an AI-powered academic toolkit that provides tools including tone refinement, originality scoring, plagiarism checking, essay generation, grammar checking, citation generation, flashcard creation, quiz generation, exam planning, and text summarization. The Service is offered in Free, Basic, Student, and Quick Pass tiers with varying usage limits.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Paid plans (Basic and Student) are billed monthly through Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Quick Pass is a one-time payment that grants 24 hours of unlimited access. It does not auto-renew. Refunds are available within 24 hours of purchase if no tools have been used during the access period. For subscription plans, we offer a refund within 7 days of your first payment if you are unsatisfied.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

Use the Service to generate content that violates academic integrity policies at your institution without understanding the consequences; share your account with others or circumvent usage limits through multiple accounts; attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service; use automated scripts or bots to access the Service; or use the Service to generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable.

6. Academic Integrity Disclaimer

StudyPilot is designed as a learning aid and writing assistant. You are solely responsible for how you use the content generated by our tools. We do not encourage or endorse academic dishonesty. It is your responsibility to understand and comply with your institution's academic integrity policies. StudyPilot is not liable for any academic consequences resulting from your use of the Service.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, and branding, is owned by StudyPilot and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service. Content generated by our AI tools is provided for your use, and you may use it freely. We do not claim ownership of AI-generated output.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, StudyPilot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
