StudyPilot (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the website studypilotapp.com and the StudyPilot application (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google profile information.
Usage Data: We track which tools you use and how often to enforce plan limits and improve our Service. This includes tool usage counts and word counts processed per day.
Payment Information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or banking details. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data.
Content You Submit: Text you paste into our tools (tone refiner, grammar checker, etc.) is processed in real time and is not permanently stored. We do not retain the content of your essays, notes, or other submitted text after processing is complete.
We use the information we collect to provide and maintain the Service, process your transactions, enforce usage limits based on your plan, send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, payment confirmations), and improve our tools and user experience. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We use the following third-party services to operate StudyPilot: Stripe for payment processing, Supabase for secure data storage, Anthropic's Claude API for AI-powered text processing, Google for OAuth sign-in, Resend for transactional emails, and Vercel for hosting. Each of these providers has their own privacy policies governing the data they process on our behalf.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. All data is transmitted over HTTPS encryption. Authentication tokens are securely managed, and passwords are hashed before storage. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Usage data is retained for analytics and limit enforcement purposes. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can update your profile from your account settings. To request data deletion, contact us at support@studypilotapp.com. If you are in the EU, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to object to processing.
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. These are strictly necessary for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Our Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
